a typical year:

1) sundays. there are 52 sundays in a year, and we all know that sundays are made to rest.

365-52= 313 days left.

2) summer. for about 75 days a year it's too hot and studying is hard.

313-75= 238 days left.

3) sleep. 8 hours a day of sleep.

(365 * 8/24) = about 120 days
238-120= 118 days left.

4) sport. 1 hour a day is good for your health!

(365 * 1/24)= about 16 days
118-16= 102 days left.

5) eating. 2 hours a day to cook and eat.

(365 * 2/24)= about 31 days
102-31= 71 days left

6) relationships. 1 hour a day for chitchats - man is a social animal!

(365 * 1/24) = about 16 days
71-16 = 55 days left

7) exams. every year there are at least 30 days in which we give exams (in places outside of italy, also essays, tests, etc) - and you don't study on those days!

55-30 = 25 days left.

8) illnesses. an average person spends about 10 days a year not feeling too good.

25-10 = 15 days left

9) holidays. easter, monday after easter, pentecost, 15th of august, may 1st, liberation day, day of the republic, christmas, dec 26th, 30th&31st dec + jan 1st, feast of the immaculate conception, all saints. (tot. 13)

15-13 = 2

10) your onomastic. you would never want to study on the day of your onomastic.

2-1 = 1

and that day is your birthday. how could you even think about studying then?!

total: 0 days available
if you passed your exam, congrats, it must've been really hard!!
if you didn't -- don't worry, it's completely understandable.

I speak Thai and German. My family are Arab, but I don't speak any Arabic though :( I'll be studying Chinese in Asia soon. I'm leaving England on March 23. I will still be studying my Law degree though. I have no idea what I want to do with it though!

I studied theology/religious studies for a year at college, but didn't keep it up. It was interesting though.

So you a good Catholic boy? ;-)

ooh, that sounds very cool! will your course be in taught in chinese? i plan on doing a postgrad degree in israel so i can learn modern hebrew :D i only speak dead languages now, thanks to classics school (latin and ancient greek) but language courses in a foreign country are pretty much as awesome as a thing can be! are you excited about leaving? i was freaking out when i came to live in scotland, hah :P

i really like theology... it's very interesting, and can be applied to pretty much everything in the world! i am (or try to be) a good jewish boy though, which makes the whole 'studying theology at a christian university' much more interesting :P

Well Shalom brother :) I have Jewish family on my fathers side, which doesn't make me Jewish under Jewish Law, but I do consider myself somewhat Jewish. I think it's a beautiful faith. I wanted to convert for years, but I guess I haven't met the right mensch, lol. Are you dating anyone at the moment?

I am looking forward to going back to Thailand. I lived there for four years, and I have lots of friends there. The course will be taught at a Chinese language school in Bangkok, so it should be really cool.

shalom! :D the jewish faith is indeed beautiful. and it has a certain appeal to a 'scientifically minded' person like me, because it has an answer and an explanation for *everything*. if you've got a doubt, surely a rabbi has talked about it before!
i am not dating anybody... i'm one of those paranoid trans people who don't let anybody touch them etc, heh :) i will finally get top surgery in 9 days though, so i plan on starting to take a look around afterwards :P

wow, i kind of envy you. i wish i could travel that far away, and for so long! thailand sounds like a gorgeous place!

I love the idea of a community rabbi. It seems so family orientated and protective. And you are right. If there is a question you want answers to... chances are a rabbi has answered it :)

I am a little wary of other people and their intentions as well, especially since there are some weird people out there with weird fetishes..., but I have a partner I've been with for nearly 9 years. I'm early on in my transition, and although he is supportive... well, it's all new to him. He won't want to read about gender psychology like I do, or feminist theory, or the effects of hormonal treatment on MTF/FTM (as I think understanding it all makes me understand myself). He just wants me to look as normal as possible, without making waves.

I wish you the best of luck with your top surgery. You look very handsome in your little pic with your dog, and for someone so young, you seem very sure of yourself, and for an Italian, your English is superb. It's better than mine! All I can say about the surgery is... Mazel tov! :) (well, for after your surgery, which I know will go well :)

Do you have people who are going to keep an eye on you while you're having this surgery? I hope you have lots of support.

Rachel, xxx
