i'm thinking about upgrading to a paid lj account. what i miss mostly is the possibility to edit comments and track threads instead of posts. and well, the no ads thing is not bad too.
do you think it's worth it to pay 20$ a year for it? i'm mostly asking to those who do have a paid account already but i'm welcoming everybody's opinion!

My issue with the paid account was not knowing if I would want to/could afford to pay to renew it every year because for a while they discontinued basic accounts and I didn't want a plus account. But now I think they brought back basic accounts.

yeah, i don't know if i would renew it as well. i do have a plus account now (using it for the icons mostly), so going back to plus wouldn't be so bad if i ever decided not to upgrade to a paid...

I love my paid account. I have the extra icons addon as well :) I use it on a daily basis so it is worth it for me, and it doesn't work out that much a year really.

thanks for the input! i'd love the extra icons too, and do use it on a daily basis, so perhaps i should see it as some sort of... investment :P

you're right but i remember somebody buying you a new mp3 player when you lost yours so i believe your lj friends to be quite a good-hearted bunch of people :)

they are im blessed with good lj friends but i wouldn't ask for something. I did not ask for the player i am so grateful though as i use it all the time but it was offered as a gift :)
I don't need a paid account so its just something i would like :) there fore i wouldn't ask for it.

i have a paid acct and i love it. i'm thinking of downgrading because of the amount of money i spend on my online life (paid lj, paid flickr, etc) . . . but i probably won't downgrade!

i have a paid account and i'm not sure i could go back. i hate ads, i love icons and if i see an error or something i want to change in one of my comments, not being able to edit it would drive me crazy! it's worth it for me. :)
