found it! (prop 8)

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25361655
(under ballot measures)

at 95%, yes is winning (and has basically won already) with 52%. that's ridiculous. it's so close :\

oh and i also found out from here: http://edition.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/results/ballot.measures/

that other states have been voting interesting things.
you have
- arizona: ban on gay marriage (passed)
- arkansas: a ban on gay couples adopting children (passed)
- california: abortion limits (a parent or adult family member must be notified if a minor is to get an abortion) (not passed)
- colorado: end affirmative action (would prohibit the state government from discriminating against or granting preferential treatment to any individual or group on the basis of race, sex, color, ethnicity, or national origin in public employment, public education, or public contracting) (50-50)
- colorado: human life from moment of conception (= banning abortion) (not passed)
- florida: ban on gay marriage (passed)
- michigan: allow medical marijuana (passed)
- nebraska: end affirmative action (see colorado #1) (passed)
- south dakota: abortion limits (no abortion if not when the mother is in mortal danger or the baby is a result of rape, incest, etc./if the pregnancy is less than 20 weeks) (not passed)
- washington: allow doctor-assisted suicide (euthanasia) (passed)

lol as if being black or female had anything to do with supporting gay rights or not.
sometimes i wonder if journalists really are stupid or they just pretend to be.

On my ballot (Massachusetts), we had question two which says that if you have an ounce or less of marijuana then you only get fined. Guess what? It passed. We had no gay marriage ban though. That would be a waste of space considering Massachusetts is full of queer people. ;)

And you banned dog races! I like it here.

I voted no on that question for alot of reasons. People are now going to lose jobs and greyhounds are meant to run. Now, they will be in shelters and on the street.

well, apart from the fact that they get beaten and generally badly treated to train for races. yes, they are meant to run, but in a park, not by force in a stadium.
dog races should be banned and the dogs involved should be followed and guaranteed safety. their re-introduction into society and caring families should be part of the abrogation of races - i don't think the possible consequences of the ban (caused by inconsiderate law makers) should serve as a justification to keep races themselves legal, honestly.
